The results are different for the second vote because one of the jurors is able to show the flaws in all of the alligations made. However he does not have any evidence that prove the boys innocence.

The results of The second vote were different because the Old Man Who has really keen observational skills decides that the juror who voted against that rest of the jurors was right in being able to give the defendant's case a more in depth look. The results are reflective of the fact that the only reasonable doubt the the old man needed was that the proof that the defendant was guilty was not objective enough.
